The line graph reveals a stark comparison of different mobile phones for which monthly contract did cost, in euros, on average over nine months in 2002.
Overall, the mid-winter prices were not as high as the early fall ones, showing significant upward trends, while the reverse holds true for cost units for Sim TX, a cellphone with moderate contracts throughout 2002. Interestingly, the cheapest monthly payment was for Alpha in the first half of the span even though this mobile phone secured the first-place afterwards.
Starting with Domo and Lex, phones with way higher contracts in contrast, a slight price variation can be observed between them with the most expensive contract belonging to the former. The price unit for Domo had not changed much until April, accounting for about € 16, while that for Lex dipped at € 10 till then. In mid-summer, the contract for the former cost €25 per month, highlighting the peak price, whereas the latter still displayed the figures hovering around mid-20. Coming to September when a negligible price drop was registered in Domo, the quite opposite is true for Lex whose index constituted around €18.
As for Sim TX and Alpha, a normal disparity can be seen among the contracts for the first half-year, but the cost indicators for each had gone to the reversed directions in early summer: while the highest price of just under €15 was in the contract for Sim TX, Alpha repeated showing similar figure accounting for €5 as it did initially. Having plunged upwardly, the contract price of Alpha reached the most expensive point ever recorded, €25; however, Sim TX saw a steady decline with cheaper prices from 10 to about 8 euros.
