The bar graph illustrates the changes in three different areas such as burglary, car theft and robbery in Manchester city center between 2003 and 2012.
Overall, the number of burglary reports declined significantly over these years, whereas, the rate of car theft experienced a gradual increase. At the same time no visible change was observed on robbery.
Initially, the highest number of cases were filed for burglary (approximately 3400) peaked in 2003 then declined dramatically into 1100 by 2008. This figure slightly rose to 1500 by next year and then remained the same in the following years. In contrast, the amount of people lost their cars fluctuated until 2009, which rapidly inclined to 2600 by 2010 and stayed constant in coming year then reached first place with 2800 cases.
According to the diagram, robbery was least reported during this period which had only 600 records in 2003 then rose to 900 after two years then reduced to 500. there was no change detected until 2012 except in 2010.
