The line graph illustrates the number of incidents of three types, such as burglary, car theft and robbery, that happened in New Port city center between 2003 and 2012
As can be seen, robbery, which was the lowest incident throughout the whole period, and car theft faced some fluctuations, whereas burglary dropped dramatically within 5 years by making car theft’s number the highest among them.
In 2003 the number of incidents of robbery and car theft were just over 500 and below 3000 respectively. Within one year burglary was the highest among others, reaching approximately 3700 incidents per year and then dropping dramatically to about 1200 in 2008, and slightly rose to about 1500 in the end of the period. In the same time in 2006 car theft incidents decreased up to 2000 and rocketed considerably to about 2700 in 2012.
On the other hand, in 2003 the amount of robbery was at its lowest at just over 500 incidents.Within 9 years faced fluctuation from 2003 to 2011, reaching about 700 incidents by the end of the period, making it the lowest among all.
