The given bar graph represents the different levels of post-school qualifications in Australia. The chart includes the percentage of skilled vocational diploma, undergraduate diploma, bachelor’s degree, postgraduate diploma and master’s degree held by male and female in 1999.
To start with skilled vocational diploma, it was the most popular post-school qualification among the males and least popular among the females. Males also had significantly more postgraduate diploma and master degrees than females. However, females showed higher percentage for undergraduate diploma and master’s degree.
The data indicates that the males greatly outnumbered females in holding skilled vocational diplomas, with approximately 82% of males compared to only 18% of females. Females held the most undergraduate diploma at 70%. Furthermore, females also held a higher percentage of bachelor’s degrees, at approximately 55% compared to 45% for males.
In conclusion, males dominated the most in skilled vocational diploma while the female presented the most in the undergraduate diploma.
