The bar chart illustrates the immigration of two types of foreign worker which are pernament settlers and temporary workers in Australia from 1992 to 2001.
Taking a look at the chart, there is a huge number of pernament workers coming to Australia in 1992 with 40 thousands workers, however, just after a year, the number of workers have been cut down by 50%, then it has a small decrease again the following year at almost 15 thousands workers before having an increase in settlers in 1995. Over the next 2 years, the number of workers did not have an noticable change, staying at 20 thousands until 1998 where it has seen a more noticable increase and between 1998 and 2001, the amount of pernament workers in Australia has been going up slowly but very steadily.
On the other hand, for the first 5 years starting in 1992, the amount of temporary workers in Australia has not seen an increase nor decrease but rather staying the same at around 15 thousands. That was not until 1997 that the number of workers that was working temporary skyrocketed, doubling last year with around 30 thousands people. In the following year, there was a slight increase in people who worked temporary in Australia and after that, the number of people had stabilized until 2001 where it has another boost in the number of workers at 45 thousands.
In general, the amount of pernament settlers had fluctuated while temporary workers had a more noticeable increase rather than going up and down like the other one.
