The following chart illustrates the number of Internet users in the Middle East countries. The information is provided for nine countries during the period of June 2017.
Overall, the popularity of the Internet varies significantly. The number of the Internet users is the highest in Iran – 56.7 million, and the lowest in Lebanon – 4.6 million.
Iran in leading the chart with 56.7 million active Internet users, followed by Saudi Arabia with around twice fewer. The only other country in the Middle East that has more than 10 million monthly Internet users is Iraq. Next is United Arab Emirates, which had 8.52 million of people who accessed the Internet in June 2017. The next four countries had around six to seven million of Internet users in the following period. The chart is completed with Lebanon with the lowest score of 4.6 million of those who had accessed the Internet.
