The bar chart compares the level of water in the storage tanks of six various Australian cities in October 2009 and October 2010, measured in percentages.
Overall, the water depth in reservoirs in Brisbane was a substantial leader over the given period. In contrast, water storage in Perth was the only one that declined among others and had the lowest water level over the same period. Notably, the figure of Sydney remained unchanged.
Regarding the dominant figures, the water elevation in the reservoirs in Brisbane experienced a rapid surge to 100% in October 2010, up from 75% in October 2009. Likewise, that of Canberra climbed considerably to 73%, up from 50%, showing almost the same changing pattern as Brisbane. Meanwhile, the second leading water levels in Darwin grew steadily from 75% in 2009 to 80% in 2010.
Turning to minor ones, all three cities showed trajectories varying from each other. Sydney water storage maintained its level at 49% over the given period. The Melbourne water level in reservoirs experienced an upward trend, while that figure for Perth witnessed a downward trend from October 2009 to October 2010. The former increased noticeably from 35 to 45%, and the latter plunged nearly double to 26%, down from 51%.
