The chart provided illustrates the figures of millions of people migrating from the countryside to cities in three distinct countries, namely Iran, Indonesia and Russia, over a 25 year long period from 2000 to 2025, including future predictions.
Overall, the number of migrations has increased in the past for all the three countries. However, as far as forecasts are concerned, it will remain steady for Indonesia, whereas for the remaining two countries Iran and Russia, it will showcase growth.
In the beginning of the period in 2000, Iran has the lowest migration numbers, which were about 5 million and by the end in 2025, it is forecasted to have the highest numbers around 95 million as compared to other two countries. Additionally, Russia started with approximately 15 million migrations in 2000, which was the highest comparatively and is predicted to have around 85 million migrating in 2025.
Moreover, Indonesia had 10 million migrations in 2000, which rose significantly to 30 million in 2020 and is predicted to remain stable in the future till 2025.
