The diagram shows the comparisson of girls per 100 boys registered in any level of education in developing and developed countries. The number is reported in 1990 and 1998. It had target one girl per boy ratio for each level in every country. Generally, developed countries had better girl per boy student ratio both in 1990 and 1998. The ratio also increased significantly in 1998 than 1990.
In developing countries in 1990, the number of girls that had primary education was 83 per 100 boys. Then it is declined constantly in secondary with 72 and tertiary education with 66. However, its ratio increased in 1998 which primary education girls ratio is 87 and declined constantly along with the higher level of education. The ratio in developing countries did not hit the target.
Apparently, in developed countries in 1990, the number of girls in primary education was 95 per 100 boys and increased constantly along with the higher level of education. After 8 years, the number of ratio increased significantly along with the higher level of education. Girls who had tertiary education in 1990 and 1998 is higher than boys.
