The bar graph compares the number of American families, divided into five groups based on their yearly earnings, in the years 2007, 2011 and 2015.
Overall, it is evident that while a slight upward trend can be observed in all groups, the number of families which earn $75,000-$99.999 annually was the lowest throughout the years.
Standing at just below 30 million in the beginning of the period, households being paid $100,000 or more was predominant, followed by a gradual fluctuation to around 33 million in 2015. As regards residents who made less than $25,000 and $25,000-$49,999, they rose gradually from 25 million and about 27 million in 2007 to 29 million and 30 million in 2011 respectively. That was followed by slight falls of approximately a million after 4 years. As for the rest of the groups, the number of households receiving $50,000-$74,999 and $75,000-$99,999 annual income oscillated steadily, but the trends were upward. They were at around 21 million and 14 million and both of them grew by 1 million 8 years later.
