The line graph illustrates the growth in the number of foreign tourists visiting countries A, B and C over a period of 20 years. Overall, all three countries expereinced increases in tourist numbers, with Country C recording the most significant growth.
At the begining of the period, Country A attracted more tourists than Country B. However, in the first five years Country B saw a massive rise and almost caught up with Country A. After that, Country A continued to grow at a facter pace, reaching about 35 million visitors by the end, which was around 10 million more Country B’s figure. By contrast, Country B’s growth slowed in the second half of the period and never reached 30 million mark.
Country C consistently out performed the other two countries. For much of the period, it had roughly double the number of visitors to Country A and almost triple that of Country B. In 2005, it recorded about twice the combained total of A and B. Country C reached over 30 million tourists around 5 years earlier than Country A, and by 2010 it welcomed approximately 45 million visitors. The most dramatic increased occurred in the final year when arrival surged by more than 8 million. From the start to the end of the period, country C clearly stood out as they leading destanation.
