The bar graph illustrates the total number of British men and women in thousands that furthered their education, who worked in regular employment or half-time, between years 1970, 1980 and 1990.
Overall, a significant number of women who had a full-time job while continuing their studies was steadily increasing throughout the succeeding years as opposed to the amount of men which numbers fluctuated along the years. However, both of the genders having a part-time job has equally increased in numbers from 1970 to 1990.
In terms of having a full-time employment, British men peaked in the beginning year of 1970 rendering around 1,000,000 in total in contrast with the British women on its lowest number around 700,000. Females in the same employment continued to soar and reached its highest point, approximately 1,100,000, in the latter year of 1990 while men fluctuated and maintained its numbers around 750,000 in total.
Part-time employees who advanced their education has gradually increased starting off around a hundred thousand for men and roughly about fifty thousand for women in the 70’s. Both of the genders evened out on its peak a little over 200,000 on its final year in the 90’s.
