The chart compares the number of paid and unpaid workers involved in 4 distinct sports roles, namely coachers, referees, managers, and other sectors, in the year of 2015 in an Australian town. Overall, it is clear that the data reveal a marked preference among volunteers for coaching, while the distribution of paid workers exhibited little variation across the different roles.
Volunteering in coaching emerged as the most popular, with over 70 individuals enlisting to become volunteer coachers, followed by the other sectors which attracted nearly 60 unpaid workers. In contrast, managers saw a significantly lower number of volunteers, approximately half that of coacher- with only about 45 participants. The figure for volunteer referees witnessed the fewest people, with just 30 individuals offering their services.
In terms of paid employment, the contribution was more uniform. Both the number of coachers and those working in other sectors had similar levels of paid workers, with around 45 people in each category. Referees and managers also showed a comparable number of paid workers, with each attracting under 40 individuals.
