The bar graph gives information regarding the number of various types of learners in the UK in three separate years, namely, 1990, 1998, and 2005.
It is evident that Males-Part time students had always took up the tiniest proportion of all groups, while it was also the only kind of students which had ever decreased in number. Additionally, the number of students saw a significant rise from 1998 to 2005.
In 1990, there were 200 thousand Males-Full time students, which ranked the first place, closely followed by Females-Full time students and Males-Part time students, with approximately 190 thousand and 180 thousand respectively. Noticeably, eight years later, numbers of all types of students increased significantly with the exception of the number of Males-Part time ones. In 2005, all student groups saw a dramatically rise in number and all of them at around 800 thousand.
The figure for Females-Part time students in 1990 was only half the number of Males-part time students. However, the figure surpassed that of Males-part time ones in both 1998 and 2005. Moreover, there were more male students than female counterparts in 1990, eight years later, the number of female students overtook the male one and the status remain the same in 2005.
