Overall, there are clear gender preferences for certain fields of study. Male students dominate in engineering as well as science and maths, whereas females are more likely to study health and humanities. Social sciences attract the highest total number of students, while agriculture is the least popular subject among both genders.
In detail, approximately 2,500 male students studied engineering, compared to just over 1,000 females. A similar trend is seen in science and maths, with about 1,500 males versus fewer than 1,000 females. On the other hand, health-related fields were chosen by nearly 2,000 female students, while only around 1,000 males enrolled in the same area. Humanities also show a slight female majority, with close to 1,500 females and a slightly lower number of males.
