Overall, it is clear that there was a marked increase in the percentages of women employees in three professional sectors across Greece.
It is evident that there were an equal proportion of female workers in call center and customer services in 1990 and 1995, at about 5% and 10%, respectively. Under 10% of female employees worked in banking and finance from 1990 to 1995. Interestingly, the percentage of female workers in call center surpassed the banking and finance sector in 2000 by roughly 1%.
Similarly, female workers in call center exceeded customer service in 2005 by about 5%. The percentage of female employees in the banking and finance sector remained the same between 2005 and 2010. Finally, the data shows that 50% of female employees worked in customer service by 2015, making it the largest percentage of women employees over the given period. While, call centers and customer services ranged between 35% and 45%.
