Overall, in this period, basketball was the most popular joined and watched sport by all females aged between 16 and 25. Meanwhile, horse riding and racing was the reverse.
Basketball was watched and participated by almost the same percentage of females, accounting for about 55% and 50% respectively. In addition, tennis, gymnastics, horse riding and racing were sports which attracted significantly more female spectating rather than participating. Particularly, the number of women watching tennis was 60%, gymnastics was 20%, and horse riding and racing was approximately 5%, which nearly twice as many as those who joined them.
There were many more women enrolled in badminton and golf than females who were interested in watching them. Only around 5% of women in the 16 to 25 age group watched badminton, whereas over 10% of this group participated in this sport. Furthermore, exactly 30% of females aged from 16 to 25 joined golf, but just 10% of females in this group watched it.
