The chart presents information about the percentage of families that posessed a computer in 2000 and 2010 in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia. Overall, this percentage increased from 2000 to 2010 for all five of these countries.
Among these nations, Singapore had the largest percentage of households that owned a computer, both in 2000 and 2010. It also had the greatest increase in the number of computer owning families during these 10 years, with a 33% rise from 45% households in 2000 to 78% households in 2010.
Indonesia had the smallest rise in households owning computers, with only a 21% increase over the 10 year period. This is followed by Vietnam, that had a 24% increase between 2000 and 2010. Even in 2010, less than 50% of the households in these two nations owned a computer.
Looking closely at the percentage increase of Malaysia and Thailand, we can see that both nations had a 27% gain in the number of households with computers over the 10 year gap.
