The bar chart illustrates the proportion of male and female mentors who chose six different kinds of educational settings in 2010 in the UK.
Overall, women teachers mostly taught in nursery and primary school, while male mentors preferred to teach the students of private training institue and university. However, percentages for both male and female remained the same for college.
Begin with men, the highest number of male teachers taught university students, apporximately 70% male teachers chose university settings for their career. However, nursery /pre-school and primary school became the least choice under 20% tutors joined them.
Turning towards women, in their case nursery/pre-school and primary school was the prominent choice for women teachers, about 90% and 80% respectively female tutors gave teaching there. In addition, about 50% percentage of male and female teachers taught in college. Fewer number of women tutors liked to join university from education setting in 2010.
