The bar chart delineates how many people of each gender anticipate seven different leisure activities in England.
Overall, while the figure for male and female watching TV in their free time commands the largest share, both time spent on playing computer games of these genders are recorded the most moderate numbers.
The share of men and women watching TV in their free time takes up roughly 77% for both, followed by the lower figures for men reading and doing exercise at approximately 75% and that of their counterparts doing the same at about 68%. Conversely, while the share of male doing these activities is higher than that of females, north of 75% is the proportion of women spending time with their family, compared to less than 2% of their counterparts.
The figure for females spending their leisure time to go shopping makes up by around 70%, which is far higher than that of males at just less than 50% of it. Regarding more announced differences, roughly 37% of women spend time on the internet, but this is not the case for men with approximately 75% of them using the internet in their free time. It is also clear that just under 15% of both genders prefer to spend their time on computer games.
