The bar chart compares the amount of male and female students’ proficiency in foreign language across six different countries. Overall, it’s clear that female students consistently exhibited higher levels of language proficiency across all countries, with the sole exception of Thailand, where male students outperformed their female counterparts.
Looking at the graph in more detail, female students in India accounted for 68%, which was 10% higher than males. Women in Romania reached 65%, compared to just over 40% for males. In Vietnam, females illustrated 57%,while their male counterparts stood at 38%.
With regard to less significant percentages, 43% of male participants and 36% of their female counterparts were considered proficient in Russia. In Thailand, 31% of females achieved professional status, while males accounted for 28%. In China, 30% of female students demonstrated language proficiency, compared to only 18% of males.
