The bar chart compares three groups of civilians in the UK in terms of the consumption of the suggested daily amount of fruit and vegetables, namely in three years; 2002, 2006, and 2010.
From an overall perspective, it is abundantly clear that women consumed the most amount of fruit and vegetables in the given period. Also, the children had always eaten the least in three years of the period shown, in comparison with two remaining groups.
In 2002, men accounted for more than 20 percent of the fruit and vegetables digested, which is twice as much as that of children, at about just over 10 percent. The women accounted for roughly 25 percent of the crops taken in and reached a peak at about 33 percent in 2006, doubled in comparison to the children, which is at approximately 17 percent. The figure for the ladies also decreased by approximately 6 percent, at merely 27 percent in 2010.
Additionally, in 2006, the men witnessed a dramatic raise of 9 percent, at about 29 percent and experienced a fall in 2010, which caused the figure to fall to 24 percent. It is also noticeable that the number for children also experienced the smallest decrease of 3 percent.
