The bar chart compares information about 3 age groups who ate the recommended amount of daily fruits and vegetables in 2002, 2006, and 2010.
Overall, despite fluctuating, all age groups experienced an upward trend. The discrepancy between children and men and women was very huge. Women reported a leading performance in all years, while children stood in last place.
Women were very strict about eating regularly depending on the recommended amount of fruits and vegetables. Women accounted for 25% in 200, but after four years, these figures soared directly to 32%. In 2010, the figure for women witnessed a decline, like other age groups, to 27%.
Regarding the proportion of men who ate fruits and vegetables regularly, in 2002, 22% of men consumed the required amount of healthy food. In 2006, these figures increased from 22% to 28% and decreased to 24% in 2010.
Finally, as for children, they showed the lowest point in all years. In 2002, children comprised 11% which made a huge contrast. In 2006, the percentage of children who consume fruit and vegetables daily increased to 16% and decreased to 14% in 2010.
