The bar chart illustrates the amount (in percentages) of fruits and vegetables consumed by the UK population.
Overall, there was an increase in the percentages of the whole vegetables and fruits consumers, followed up by a decrease for all.
The percentages of consumers in 2002 were nearly the same for every category, with Women consumers being the highest by 26%, while Men and Children are slightly above 20%, with men being the second highest after women. In 2006 consumers percentages rose up, it was a slight change for children and men with an approximate of 3% , while women consumers percentages peaked, reaching around 32% and remaining the highest, and a slight switch between men and children ranking.
That increase in percentages didn’t last long, because in 2010 there was a drop in percentage of all three types of UK population consumers. Although the percentages drop rate isn’t the same, they had a significant decline with around 10-13%, making them reach somewhere around 12%, 17%, and 16% consecutively. By the end of the period Women remained to have the highest percentage among all, whereas men experienced the lowest readings overall.
