Overall, during the years, there has been a constant rise of individuals apart from Oceania which remains constant. At the latest year, the countries Europe, Latin and North America have the highest percentages of urban area population.
From the year 1975, Asia and Africa are seen to have the lowest precentages raging around 20 to 30 percent. During the next two years, those two countries have shown significant growth in percentages to around 60 percent for Africa and almost 70 for Asia. The same can be said for the world, although it starts with higher percentages – around 37 percent to it almost being 70. Compared to Africa and Asia, Europe, Latin America and North America have almost double the percentages of urban population – from around 61 percent for Europe and Latin America and a little more than 70% for North America to 80 to 90 percent. Oceania remains constant – 70 percent, with a slight drop in 2020.
