The chart shows how many people are unemployed in three European countries from 1991 to 2021. The data is provided based on 1991 to 2021 which demonstrates a change over a twenty-years period.
The percentage of unemployed in 1991 is almost the same for Greece and Italy except for Spain which has more unemployed citizens than others which is around 15 %. However, the number of jobless in Spain rose to 25% in 1994 but next this number decreased to 10% in 2001 and stayed the same in Greece and Italy. The unemployment rate in these countries stayed around 7-10% from 2001 to 2007.
Next period starts from 2008 to 2013. The number of people out of work rose from 10 to 25%. Subsequent levels of unemployment were falling from 2013 to 2021 in all three countries.
In conclusion, we see that the number of jobless people in Spain and Italy stays the same as in 1991 and 2021 but in Greece the number of unemployment has increased significantly.
