The bar chart provides information about the proportion of men and women who exercise regularly in Malaysia in the age category 15-65 and over.
Overall, the Male group experienced a downward trend, while the female group showed an upward trend throughout the age groups. Both groups’ regular exercise rates had some fluctuations. Although male group initially had a higher rate, it had become lower and almost equal in the last age category.
Males’ regular exercise rate was about 55% in the age of 15-24, being higher than Females’ rate by approximately 7%. Then, it decreased to almost 40% in the 25-44 age group. However, the chart showed a gradual increase to about 45% between the 45 to 64 age group, and continued to rise until the last age group, hitting the high-point around 47% between 65 and over ages.
Percentage of female group’s regular exercises was less than 50% in the age 15-24, and it increased to almost 50% in the age 25-34, when about a half of females were exercising regularly, as opposed to 40% in the male group. The chart experienced a steady growth between age groups, reaching about 55% in the age of 35 to 44, remaining steady between 44-64 ages. However, it decreased to approximately 48% in 65 and over age group, becoming almost equal to the male group rates.
