Overall, the number of people loved football accounted for the highest percentage throughout the period shown. While football, swimming, and rugby became more prevalent, the other sports showed a decreasing trend.
Regarding the sports having an increasing trend, football witnessed a linear growth and always above 40 percent and overcame the other part. Swimming had a fluctuation in the range of 20 to 30 percent, and reached the biggest 28% in 2000. Rugby went up and down by around 20 percent but in the bottom in 2000, smallest when comparing to 5 remainning sports.
Concerning the lesser interest in sports, many people have not had an interest in snooker since 1995, leading to a decrease of nearly 10%. Similar to snooker, tennis plunged to 20 % and this figure displayed the same in both 2000 and 2005. Golf had small changes in this period but the proportion of people who liked this sport was maintained above 20%.
