The given bar chart illustrates the percentage of survey respondets that showed interests in certain sports in United Kingdom between 1995 and 2005 years. Overall, football had the highest figure among all sports,with it experiencing a steady increase throughout period. In contrast golf recorded the lowest percentage of interest. Meanwhile snooker, tennis and regby saw a fluctuation at varying rates.
The percentage of interest football increased gradually from approximately 40% in 1995 to 50% by 2005. On the other hand in 1995 golf started at about 26%, a figure that than declined slightly to around 24%.
Among the remaining sports, swimming and rugby showed noticeably fluctuations. The proportion of swimming rose nearly 30% by 2005,after which it dropped slightly approximately 28% in the final year.In contrast regby began at around 22%, after which it declined the lowest point under 20% in 2000 and then a figure saw a significantly increase reaching 30% in 2005.
Snooker and tennis followed similar trend over the period. In 1995 the percentages of snooker and tennis accounted for 30% and just above 25% respectively but this was followed by a noticeable decline to around 25% and 22% in 2005.
