In 2000, about 25% of respondents didn’t go to work because of their family responsibilities. After experiencing a slight drop by around 2% in 2005, it remained unchanged in the next five years.
The personal needs reason accounted for about 15% of the total figure in 2000, and significantly increased by approximately 10%, reaching at about 25% in 2010. Stress and unexpected problems (transport, weather,etc) occupied for higher than 5% in 2000. While the former reached the lowest record of nearly 4% in 2005, the latter witnessed a sharp clmb to under 15%. However, the two figure in 2010 exhibited a similar percentage ( more than 10%).
