The graph depicts the sales of handmade soaps made of olive oil to tourists in Turkey throughout the year 2015, with figures provided in millions of Turkish Lira.
Overall, the highest sales were seen in March and though the sales of handmade soap surged in March, the general trend has shown a gradual fall. Moreover, the lowest sales were in July and September.
Looking more closely at the figures, in the first half of the year the sales grew, demonstrating a substantial increase from January to March from 200 to 350 millions of Turkish Lira respectively. As soon as the peak was reached in March, the sales started to gradually fall until they reached a trough in July, marking a difference of approximately 225 millions of national currency.
In the second half of the year, the sales shot up to about 225 millions of Turkish Lira. Despite the initial rise, the figures of August did not reach the amount of sales in March. In September the sales returned to the July figures of 125 millions of Lira with a further surge of 50 millions (175-125). The sales remained stable at about 175 millions of Lyra throughout October, November and december.
