Overall, the United States had the highest number of immigrants in 20 years, and had the second biggest migrant people in 2020. The UK was the lowest figure in 2000, before replasing India’s immigrant population as fourth in 2020, at the same time Germany had the largest amount of migrants.
The USA had the most immigrants for all 20 years of period rose from just over 40 millions to approximately 50 millions. Russia had the second highest number of immigrants in 2000 with just above 10 millions and did not change significantly as Germany in 2020, which rose from just below 10 millions to just above 10 millions. The United Kingdom was the last with approximately 5 million; however, doubled their proportion, overtaking, India as the fourth ranked country.
From the table it is clear that Germany was the first ranked nation with 14.7% of migrants, while the UK was the next country with 14%. USA was behind only for 0.5% from Germany. India was the last ranked nation with only 0.4% of migrants.
