It is evident that the overall chart witnessed an upward trend, with the most significant rise in car theft. In addition, street robbery was the lowest figure among the three for 35 years since 1970.
To begin with, from 1970 to 1990, there was noticeable growth the number of incidents of car theft, with 0,40 millions to 1 millions. Furthermore, house burglary’s figure surged, with figure in 1980 almost 5 times higher than in 1970, compassing car theft with 0.9 millions. However, there were fluctuations of house burgling in the next 10 years, making it the second highest position after car theft.
In terms of the street robbery, its figure slowly increased between 1970 to 1995, however, its figure was nearly doubled in 2005 compared to 1995, with 0,4 and 0,21 millions respectively. Similarly, car theft’s cases experienced the same trend, reaching the highest point with 1.60 millions, while in the next 10 years its figure dramatically dropped to 1 million.
