Overall, it cleat that the number of incidents increased after 35 years in both 3 types. Moreover, the number of incidents of car thefts was highest in most of the period.
In terms of car theft, there were 400 thousand incidents happening in 1970. The number of car theft incidents increased significantly after 20 years which was roughly 1 million incidents in 1990. Susquencely, car theft witnessed a surge and reached a peak at 1.6 million incidents in 1995. In contrast, the number of car theft incidents moderately decreased to nearly 1 million incidents in the end of period.
Regarding the number of house burgling and street robbery incidents, there were about 200 thousand house burgling incidents which was double compared to the figure for street robbery incidents in the begining of the period. The number of house burgling incidents dramatically grew, even surpassed that of car theft incidents and peaked at about 900 thousand incidents in 1980.
