Band 6: The chart gives information about the proportion os students choosing different science subjects in a university in 1992 and 2012 (User-Written IELTS Writing Task 1 Sample)

The bar chart provides data about the percentage of learners selecting Biology, Physics and computer science in a university in 1992 and 2000.

It is evident that a lot ofpupils got admission in Biology throughout the period, whilst few learners were enrolled in computer science in 1992. However, Physics was recorded the minimal share of admission in 2012.

In terms of gender, men made up appoximately 62%, which was significantly higher than wowen. By constrast, women was recorded at 30% of enrollment in 1992. Similarly, the figures for men fell moderetely to 50%, while the women admission rose to approximately 45% in 2012.

In terms of admissions, Biology was the dominant course for students, recording at around 62% in 1992, while 22% of women got admissions in Physics. Nevertheless, computer science accounted for a minimal share at below 5% in 1992. By comparison, the number of students in Biology plummeted to 40%. Physics dipped to 20% in 2012. However, the enrollment in computer science rose moderately to around 23% in 2012
