The following bar chart illustrates the proportion of women going to pursue higher education in five different countries (U.K, U.S.A, Australia, South Korea and France) in the years 1980 and 2015.
Overall, female-levers opting for higher education in 2015 almost remained steady in every country, except South Korea. While Australia and U.S.A being the highest. On the other hand, the percentage of women going for higher studies in 1980 significantly fluctuated in all countries, Despite the proportion remained same in Australia in both years.
To begin with, female students willing to pursue higher education in the United Kingdom was around 35% in 1980. Likewise, percentage of female-levers going to the U.S also was around 35% respectively. In contrast, the highest proportion was recorded in Australia, over 50% in 1980. While, South Korea being the lowest when compared to other countries, just recorded 15%. However, France dominated other countries like the U.K and U.S.A with 50%.
In 2015, United Kingdom female student-levers percentage reached over 50%. Furthermore, the U.S and Australia had a similar proportion falling below 60%. Likewise, France also reached over 50% of female graduates opting for higher education. However, South Korea’s share was significantly dropped, when compared to other countries, reaching to 30%.
