The line graph compares total percentage of people who used the internet particularly in a country population by different age groups from 2010 to 2017.
Overall, Internet usage was higher among young people in both years, while figures declined steadily with age. In addition, usage increased across all age groups between 2010 and 2017, with the most noticeable growth occured among adults.
In 2010, almost all individuals aged 16-24 used the internet approximately at 95 percent. The figure in 2017 is slightly higher than the year of 2010, by reaching close to 100 %. Among aged 25-34 and 35-44, usage was also high in both years. Rising from roughly 90% and 80% in 2010, to about 95% and 100% in 2017.
The difference between the two years was more pronounced in the older age groups. For people aged 45-54, the proportion increased from about 60% to approximately 80% in 2017. Similarly, Internet use among adults aged 55-64 grows significantly from 40% to close to 65%. The most dramatic rise seen in the 65-74 group, where the figure more than doubled.
In summary, while younger people consistently has the highest rates of Internet use, older groups experienced the greatest growth over the period.
