The line graph represents the percentage of internet usage among country’s , by age group in 2010 and 2017.
Overall, the rate of internet usage among teenagers was the highest ,however the smallest contribution of internet was in elderly people category, in both years.
The beginning with, In 2010 the rate of the internet usage among younger generation amounted almost 100%, while people in their late twenties and early thirties (25-34) was by 2% lower and composed 98%, at the same time. In addition 96% amounted the percentage of Mature adults in 2010. However in 2017, percentage of internet usage composed 98%, while 85% amounted in 25-34 age group. In comparison the rate of usage internet in adults group (35-44) made up only 75.
Turning to the older age group, the percentage of internet users declined significantly with age in both years. Meanwhile among people aged 45 to 54, around 70% used the internet in 2010, while the figure rose to approximately 85% in 2017. A similar trend can be observed for those aged 55 to 64, where usage increased from about 40% to nearly 70%. By contrast, internet use was the lowest among people aged 65-74, accounted for only around 20% in 2010 and just under 50% in 2017.
