The line graph compares the proportion of a country’s population using Internet were given age category between 2010 and 2017.

Overall, the Internet usage has generally increased throughout 7 years. Remarkably, there was a common phenomenon that the younger people were, the more they used Internet. Investigating certain age groups in both years represented that there was a small gap in percentage of Internet users aged 16 to 44, whereas the other age ranges showed a wider change.

In first three age categories including 16-24, 25-34 and 35-44, it could be seen that the youngest individuals used the Internet the most which was demonstrated by around 95% in 2010 and up to nearly 100% in 2017. These figures gradually diminish without significant changes with the next ages. People who were 44 years of age accounted for approximately 65% and 85%, respectively, in 2010 and 2017.

On the other hand, data from the other age groups showed a stark variation in amount of global network usage among age brackets. In 2010, the proportion of Internet users aged 45 to 54 initiated with 65 and this figure straightly declined along the age progression; especially, the elderly being 65 to 74 years old made up only under 20 percent of Internet usage. However, the percentage of Internet users surveyed in 2017 witnessed a rise by roughly 20% from 2010.
