The pie chart shows the global market share of three different computer operating systems( OS 1, OS 2, OS 3) compared to other systems in 2012 and 2015. Overall, others, which were more in shares at the beginning of the period, had significantly decreased at the expanse of OS 1, which had become the most shared operating system by the final year. While OS 3 remained unchanged and OS 2 increased a bit more in shares.
In 2012, others were the most popular, which was just under a half, followed by OS 1 20%, while OS 2 and OS 3 were almost the same, 17% and 15%, respectively. In the next year, the shares of others started to decrease, dropped to 35%, while OS 1 increased , which was for 3% more than others (38%). OS 2 dropped to 10%, and OS 2 was relatively stable.
In 2014, the shares of OS 1 continued to rise, 47%, while others slumped to almost a quarter (23%). OS 3 grew by 2% and OS 2 by 1%, which remained operating systems with lower shares. In the final year, OS 1 dominated, occupied half of the chart, with just over a half (52%), and remained higher in shares, and OS 2 stayed the same. While OS 3 and others remained the same in shares, both at 15%, OS 3 grew by 3%, and others declined by 8%.
