Focusing on inventions preferred by women, bicycles were considered the most important invention by both genders, with around 50% of women and 48% of men with regards to other options. Moreover, women showed a stronger preference for mobile phones at merely 13%, doubling the proportion of men. Radio was not as popular among men compared to women, reported around 7% to 9% in women, respectively.
Regarding creations favoured by men, cars and the internet received relatively higher support from male respondents at around 13%, compared to about 6% of women. A similar but smaller gap can be observed with the internet, which was chosen by approximately 14% of men, slightly higher than the 12% recorded among women. In terms of tablets, the proportions were quite similar, accounting for around 8% for men and 7% for women.
