Regarding the countries that experienced a rise in their population figures, Germany had 80.6 million people in 2013, followed by France (65.8) and Spain (46.6). Afterwards, the numbers for all three countries grew, albeit at varying rates. By 2021, there were 83.2 million people living in Germany while 67.7 million and 47.4 million individuals were residing in France and Spain, respectively.
As for the nations that underwent a dip in their population, the most significant decline was observed in Italy, from 60.2 million in 2013 to 59.1 million in 2021. By contrast, population figures decreased marginally in Poland, Portugal and Croatia, with Portugal registering the least dip, from 10.5 million initially to only 10.3 million in 2021.
