Overall, the number of students who finished their dissertation projects on time dominate the statistics, indicating a great responsibility for the majority of the students in 3 decades. On the other hand, those who completed late, failed to write, and rewrote their thesis consistently remain below 50 in the 3 years measured.
Throughout the year, those who finished their dissertation project on time saw a rise. In 1990, the number was just 150, rose to above 200 in 2000, and continued to rise until 300 in 2010. The upward trend was seen the same with those who completed late, started with only so little in 1990, and gradually rose to just below 50 in 2010.
However, Those who failed to write their thesis project was seen to have a downward trend. Started with just below 50 in 1990, and continued to drop near to 0 in 2010. Finally, the number of student who rewrote their thesis dissertation was seen to be the highest in 2000, which accounted for about the half of 50. While, in 1990, it was seen to be the lowest period when students in UK rewrote their thesis project, just slightly above zero, and the number of students in 2010 was between the 1990 and 2000 period.
In conclusion, some of the categories saw an upward trend (completed on time and late), some seen to be having a downward trend (failed to write), while the others having no significant trend (rewrote).
