Overall, it is clear that the literacy rates for both males and females are similar in America, Europe and Oceania. In contrast, the figure for Africa and Asia accounted with small literacy rates for females.
In America, Europe, and Oceania, both men and women have the high literacy percentages, with males outperforming females slightly. Additionally, rate of literate men in Europe showed 97.7%, while the females it is 96.2%. In Oceania, men have the literacy rate of 92.5%, and women have the rate of 91.1%. In terms of America, both male and females showed almost similar rate, with males at 90.8% and females at 89.2% respectevely.
Regarding Africa and Asia, where both genders show literacy level for both genders, with female literacy level being particularly low. The percentages of Asia’s males accounted with 76.6%, when the females are 66%. Finally, Boys in Africa display the rate at 61.7%, whereas girls are at 38.5%.
