The line graph illustrates the proportion of visitors to four different destinations in Scotland over the 30-year period beginning in 1980.
Overall,it is clear that the percentage of tourists visiting the zoo and the castle witnessed an upward trend, while the opposite was true for the portion of travelers to the aquarium and the festival. The highest figure can be seen in the percentage of tourists to the castle, except from 1980 to 1985.
The proportion of the zoo’s tourists, which increased slightly from 10% to around 15% between 1980 and 1985,experienced a steady decline from that to just over 7% 15 years later before escalating sharply to above 15% in 2010. Likewise, having climbed sharply from just approximately 22% in 1980 to 45% over a 15-year period, the figure for travelers to the castle fluctuated at around 25% and 33% in the next 15 years.
On the other hand, the proportion of visitors to aquariums went up between 1980 and 1985 from just 20% to around 35% while there was a downward trend of about 27% 20 years later. Besides, there was a moderate shrink of about 9% in the percentage of festival participation over the period.
