The graph gives data about the proportion of visitors who attended four various attractions comprising the aquarium, castle, zoo and festival in Scotland from 1980 to 2010.
Overall, what stands out from the graph is that there was a decrease on number of visitors in three attractions; aquarium, castle and festival, whereas visiting the zoo witnessed gradual rise over the period given. Another interesting point is that, although the zoo’s visitors increased slightly, the percentage of tourists in the castle remained as the highest proportion in the graph.
Initially, the percentage of the tourists in the castle was under 25% in 1980, after which the figure grew steadily to over 25% in 1985, which was followed by a significant rise to 45% in the next 10 years, then it went down markedly to 30% in 2000, having decline minimally by the end of the year. Next, the proportion of the aquarium visitors was 20% in 1980. After that, the figure went up rapidly to 35% after 5 years. However, it fell abruptly as it increased by 15% in 1990. Later, despite increasing insignificantly to nearly 25% in 1995, it saw a noticeable drop at under 10% the next 15 years, by maintaining the least visited attraction among the others.
In terms of the zoo and festival, the percentage of the individuals was 10% and 20% at the beginning of the year, respectively. Afterwards, there was a fluctuation trend in zoo attendance, at which point it levelled off at 10% over the two decades by following a considerable climb to 20% in 2010. Eventually, regarding the festival, it went down consistently the time period covered by the graph.
