The bar graph shows the percentages of renewable energy contributed in total energy in 4 different countries( Australia, Sweden, Iceland, Turkey) in three different years (in 1997, 2000 and 2010)
Overall, Sweden and Iceland witnessed an upward trend in the rates of renewable energy produced. In can also be seen that among the 4 countries, this type of energy was most popular in Iceland.
In 1997, the proportion of renewable energy accounted for nearly 50% in total energy supply in Iceland, it rose consistent dramatically to 60% in 2000 and reached a peak in 2010 at around 70%. The same phenomenon occurred in Sweden, it started at 5% in 1997 and increased to nearly 10% in 2010.
On the other hand, a downward trend was recorded in Australia, the figures showed the constant decreased in the percentage of renewable energy produced over the years, at approximately 10% in 1997, decreased to over 7% in 2000 and hit the lowest point at 5% in 2010. Meanwhile, there is a fluctuation in those figures in Turkey. From 1997 and 2010, its figures fluctuated between 40% and 32%.
