An initial impression from a diagram shows that Iceland witnessed a significant decrease in the proportion of renewable energy. In contrast, Australia shows that it declined over a period.
More specifically, Iceland and Turkey were two countries that had the amount of renewable energy in total. The figure for Iceland accounted for around 45 percent however, which went up dramatically in 2010 at 70%. The amount of renewable energy used in Turkey saw some fluctuation over a period, which made up about 38% in 1997. After the next three years this figure increased slightly at 40%. In 2010, the percentage of renewable energy fell around 33%.
It is noticeable that Australia and Sweden have a contrastive trend. Renewable energy was used in Australia in 1997 which was approximately 10% but this figure dropped to 5% the next 13 years. However, in Sweden, consumption of energy witnessed a rise gradually from 6% to about 10% in 2010.
