The bar chart illustrates the number of telephone calls measured in minutes (in billions) in three categories, namely local line, national line, and mobiles between 1995 and 2002 of British citizens.
Overall, it can be clearly seen that the local type of calls was the most popular category throughout the period, while the national and internationals were the second, and mobiles were the least type of usage.
Local-fixed lines were considered as a widespread means of calls in every years, despite some changes in numbers. This type of call fluctuated during the period, beginning with approximately 70 billions of minutes, then increased steadily to reach a peak in 1999, following with a slow decrease to the same number as in the beginning in 2002.
Looking specifically at national and international calls, the number slightly rose from almost 40 minutes to 60 minutes of calls. What about mobiles, the category significantly grew to the end of the years, reaching a peak.
