The charts and table illustrate information about cycling habits among adults in England. This information is divided by the age, place and the percentage of cyclists in English cities.
Overall, the first diagram shows that cycling is the most popular among people between 40-49 years with 50%. This is followed by the 18-20 and 50-59 groups that have respectively 45% and 43%. Near these results, there is the group with 41% among adults between 30-39 years. Cycling is not so famous among 21-19 and 60 and above people. In fact, they have respectively 33% and 22%.
The second chart analyzes where people prefer to cycle. Roads are the most popular option with 35% of cyclists. Pavements and Cycle lanes are the second most common preference with 30%. After that there are parks with 24% while 11% prefer other locations.
The table shows the percentage of cyclists in English cities where Cambridge has the percentage higher than the other cities with 58%. Oxford follows with 33% while Bristol, Portsmouth and London have respectively 24%, 20% and 16%.
